A funeral mass will be held at St-Ignace de Loyola Church, 3325 rue Loyola, Québec G1E 2S1 on Saturday, March 4 at 10:30 am officiated by Monseigneur Paul Lortie. Visitation will be held at the Church from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. A private family internment at the parish cemetary will be held at a later date.

Patricia was born in North Bay, Ontario.  Her parents moved shortly after to Montreal and later settled in Québec City where she lived for much of her beautiful life.  Patricia married Rene and had 4 wonderful children.  Always a student of learning, Patricia realized her lifelong dream of becoming a nurse at the young age of 49.  She was not done yet though, after moving to Calgary Patricia completed a two-year certificate program at Mount Royal College in the field of psychiatry where she worked as a nurse for several years.  Always a loving mother, she played a large role in the lives of her two grandchildren in Calgary.  Patricia was a proud volunteer for the “88 Winter Olympics”.  Her hobbies included knitting and sewing as well as gardening, reading and swimming.  She’s famously known for giving away her knitting, keeping all her mementoes in scrapbooks, sending birthday and Christmas cards to family and friends and providing an open invitation to everyone to stay for a visit at her beautiful cottage in St. Joachim.

Loving mother of Donald (late Danielle Duclos, Johanne Simard), Paul, Suzan (Edward Malysa) Calgary, AB and Julie (Robert Penrice) Edmonton, AB. Cherished grandmother of Dave (Pascale Bouchard) and Dominic Villeneuve (Audrey Marceau), Éric (Jillian Karras) and Chantal Malysa. Great grandmother of Xavier, Jade, Charles, Émile, Antoine and Benoit. Dear sister of Robert A. (Louisette Bond), Shirley (Orangeville, ON) and Louise Létourneau (Red Boutet). Sister-in-law of Lucie Villeneuve (Jean Baillargeon), Margaret Torpey (late Jean Villeneuve) and Rolande St-Pierre (late Sydney Lessard). She will be missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mrs. Villeneuve was predeceased by her sister Joan Lessard (late Jules Plante).

The family expresses their sincere gratitude to the staff on the palliative care unit of the St-François d’Assise Hospital, Le CERCO and Le Gibraltar, for the exceptional care administered
